Arcsa issues alert on Sascha Fitness products
Arcsa warns that Sascha Fitness brand products represent a risk to the health of consumers and recommends not consuming them.
The National Agency for Regulation, Control and Sanitary Surveillance (Arcsa) issued, on July 5, 2023, a marketing alert of brand products Sascha Fitness.
In a press release, the entity reported that the company’s products are not registered in the country.

“After the review of the databases that rest in the Agency, it is verified that said products They do not have health notification in the category of dietary supplements. That is to say, they are not registered in the country”, points out the control entity.
And he adds that these products represent a risk for the health of consumers and recommends not to consume them.
Also, remember that the alert comes after the National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance of Colombia demanded Sascha Fitness withdraw its products, because they would not be food, for which he issued a health registration years ago, but rather medicines.
Due to the proximity between Ecuador and Colombia, Arcsa also says that there is a possibility that counterfeit products enter illegally into the country across the border.
To avoid this problem, the authorities implement operations and control actions on virtual platforms and social networks where the sale of these products is confirmed.
“Nine establishments located in the provinces of Imbabura and Sucumbíos were also monitored, in which these brand products were not evidenced. Sascha Fitness”, reported.

Consumption recommendations
The Arcsa released recommendations to prevent citizens from consuming products that can cause damage to health:
- Acquire products that have a sanitary registry or current Ecuadorian health notification, and that these are only purchased in authorized establishments.
- Inform the Arcsa on the sale or distribution of products without health notification, through their social networks or the Arcsa Móvil application.
