Cameron Diaz Shares 2023 Wellness Tips For A Healthier You
It’s 2023 and with that comes the “new year, new me” mantra that so many of us adopt at the beginning of January so that we can become healthier people. However, with everyone attempting to start their health on a clean slate this month, the countless articles and posts detailing how to do so can be overwhelming.
So, what is the best way to become a healthier version of yourself this year? Acting Guest Editor for E! News, actress and wellness guru Cameron Diaz shared her top wellness tips to get you and your health through 2023.
Cameron Diaz’s Wellness Advice For A Healthier 2023
“I’m gonna kill it. I learned so much this year that makes me feel like next year is gonna be so much easier. I’m going to be really on top of things and it will be good to start all over next year…When I get to the new year, I’m going to be ready.”
1. Enjoy a glass of (organic) wine
More often than not, one resolution that always tops the list is to cut back on alcohol. Now, if you’ve been a moderate drinker for the majority of your adult life, this can be easier said than done. As such, Diaz advises that if you are going to drink, it would be best to select an organic option that you can feel good about, like her and Katherine Power’s brand Avaline.
The 50-year-old People’s Choice Awards winner admits that her wine brand is still alcoholic, and you need to monitor your intake of it. Yet, she does take pleasure in knowing that Avaline is not only delicious, but it is also free from any unwanted and undisclosed extras that may be detrimental to the body.
“We made a decision to drink wine that had the values that we prioritize for other decisions in our lives, from skincare to groceries to household items. Those are all products we buy based on what’s in them. We know what’s in them and that’s how we make our choices.”
2. Have a dance party for one
Leading a more active lifestyle is a common promise that people make to themselves at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, work and other commitments can make it difficult to keep said promise. Nonetheless, Diaz points out that there are a lot of things you can do in a small space to just keep your body moving.
For instance, the Shrek actress suggests putting your headphones in, putting on a playlist, and dancing for 15 minutes straight as hard as you can before taking a shower and starting your day,
“Just get like six of your favorite songs and do a little short playlist that will make you want to move like you can’t stop dancing. You don’t even need to have workout clothes. You can just be naked or in your underwear and dance,” says Diaz.
Not only can moving your body to your favorite tunes improve your mood but dancing has also been found to improve your heart health, increase endurance as well as boost your muscular strength.
3. Just get it done
As we make resolutions for the year, whether it’s to eat more fruit or spend less time sitting at our desks, it can be hard to find the motivation to follow through on our new year’s pacts. However, Diaz points out that there are no special tips and tricks that will provide you with the motivation that will help you accomplish your goals. Rather, the one thing you need to do is to just get your things done,
“You just gotta get sh-t done.” Diaz advises, “It’s your choice. Your motivation is just that it’s got to get done.”

If there’s one health resolution you could be looking to adopt this year, it will likely be fasting. The act of fasting has been linked to so many incredible benefits, it’s no wonder that more and more people are looking to regularly practice it. However, too long a fast may worsen your 2023.
