The fallacy with your mathematical projection models is they are not science at all … They are easily manipulated by the input and assumptions your enter. We now have real data to input and data input turns your early models on their heads . So STFU

    1. Herd immunity and the virus can’t replicate. 2. Develop a vaccine and the virus can’t replicate. 3. A strict quarantine and social distancing for 2 months and the virus can’t replicate.

Mandatory vaccination will be the condition to be released from house arrest. Refuse the vaccine, then no freedom.

herd immunity is real contempt, DW sees germans as cattle, so be it then, DW can be exposed first, then all their families and friends, then see who's laughing at the end, do germans really still think this way?

Sorry folks, like it or not, staying at home, medicare for all and universal income is now the only realistic answer. The Corona Virus will continue – wave after wave after wave.

It's a well known fact that thousands of people die for every 1% rise in the unemployment rate. A lot of people are going to die either way. The question is, what kind of world are we going to leave for those who survive? Dr. Knut Wittkowski from Rockefeller University estimated that 15,000 would die in the US before reaching herd immunity. With social distancing we're looking at multiples of 5 – 10, not to mention a devastated economy.

Controlled herd immunity can be approached by allowing 18-30 year olds back into the economy. The case fatality rate of coronavirus in the 18-30 year olds is <0.1%. In Korea, out of 8000 diagnosed Covid + no one under age of 30 died. You let the young work together, socialize together, and have a semblance of life together. In a few months this population will have been infected and recovered from the virus with minimal strain to the healthcare system. And instead of the young being a risk to the society and the old, they can now be an asset. Of course the key here is they must be separated from rest of us until they develop immunity. You can put them up in hotels that are currently empty or designated apartment complex. I am sure there are some flaws to this radical approach, but there are also some very important benefits. One being that we need to get the 18-30 year olds back to work. Youth unemployment leads to crime and drugs. To be honest, those of us non seniors are not as worried about dying of coronavirus as social and economic collapse. In NYC where 50% of the police have called in sick, combined that with restless unemployed youth, you have a ticking time bomb ready to explode.

Thanks for the clarification with regards to herd immunity. It sounds like inevitably and hopefully immunity will raise up before a vaccine is produced but indeed, it does not make sense to allow for people to get infected with herd immunity in mind. This is not about survival of the fittest. This is about saving as many people as possible.
