Chicago teen with no underlying conditions dies from COVID-19

A Chicago teen with no underlying conditions died from COVID-19 only a week after he was recognized with the virus, his household says.

Arnold Herrera was recovering at dwelling and rang within the new 12 months with his household, however then his situation worsened and was admitted at a neighborhood hospital in Chicago, WLS reported.

Herrera died Sunday, turning into the 11th person to die from COVID-19 below the age of 20 in Illinois.

“It doesn’t discriminate on age. It just happens. And we should all be careful,” Herrera’s brother, Pablo Portilla, advised WLS. “We shouldn’t think, ‘Oh yeah, because I’m young, it’s not going to happen to me,’ like no.’”

Herrera beloved to play guitar at his church and lately graduated from Chicago’s Benito Juarez High School, the place he was a member of the JROTC program, in accordance with the outlet.
