The idea that a virus is so dangerous that it warrants shutting down the economy and removing civil liberties but not in Sweden because they are culturally more introverted is actually just plain silly

Well I'm sorry to break this to you but I have a feeling this won't work in Britain.

They're showing how Sweden favours comparably well on the topic of COVID itself, yet completely leave out why their approach was made in the first place – that they haven't wreaked havoc on their society and economy. Where's the metrics for the suicide, deaths from heart disease, cancer, late cancer diagnoses, unemployment rises etc etc??

More toxic biased BS for Beeb which sadly become less and less creditable. In the first graph comparing increasing infections in Europe Sweden is completely omitted, why is that?
A later bar chart shows Sweden has more than 3 times less infections in last 14 days compared to UK and Spain per 100,000 people and only marginally more than Germany, all that without becoming a dictatorship. Sounds like a success story to me, shame on the BBC. The BBC’s major criticism of the Swedes approach appears to be that their people trust their government, what does it say for the rest of Europe? Clear indication that we being governed by clueless, unscrupulous, self-obsessed A-holes and ‘Auntie’ BBC in bed with them.

The data does show success! Remember that their relatively high death rate is within the context of not destroying mental health and the economy. Sweden has not become the post viral wasteland that lockdown countries were threated with.

It's hard to understand why Sweden's strategy would be more effective in preventing Covid19 compared to other countries. Its success is in avoiding strict lockdowns and letting life go on in a more normal way.

Isn't anyone gonna mention that Swedes get 25 vacation days plus 20+ national holidays plus 14 sick days and more if you have children which are all paid for. And keep in mind that office white collared jobs leave work early on Fridays and have long coffee breaks. Yeah I can see how a Swede or an American or any other type of person wouldn't get too sick in this type of work environment. I just think that there are alot of factors besides social distancing and following health recommendations when determining the infection rate of COVID or any type of airborne pathogens. Ask a Swede to relax and take it easy. No problem. Ask a Swede to get shit done. Different story.

I got to give it to BBC, after reading their Word news today, that they did not twist it like media have done before in UK and USA.
Today the lifting on advice for 70 + elderly was, as I did see it quick, quite properly told by BBC.

Without understanding Covid-19, Tegnell & Co, decided to gamble with the lives of its citizens. Now, they are ever so proud because it's not a complete catastrophe. The power of luck

Instead, ask yourself this question: what's the downside of their approach?

What about their death rate? The most important stat.. That has stayed low after first wave unlike the rest of Europe where it's climbing at same rate as before… Also why is Europe ignoring all the good news about Ivermectin.. Trial site news YouTube
