20 min and push harder… I love that suggestion, thank you! Also, the idea of picking a muscle group per session sounds good. Exercise to feel better, not to lose weight. Thanks for that reminder! I am a member at the Y and I usually do 30-40 min of cardio, 3-4 times a week. I am 9 weeks post op VSG and the weight isn't coming off quickly at all. I keep moving along in hopes that one day I will reach onederland and get a hold of my struggle with food.

I am currently focused on finishing 10,000 steps a day. It's enough for now, but I will add to it when my calendar clears a bit. Weight lifting would help me a lot post weight loss! My arms and heinie are ugly! ?

Hey Emily. New to your channel. I'm a little over 2 months post op. I walk 45 min 5x a week while at work and go to the gym three times a week. I like your advise about lifting as much as you can and taper down for strength training. I started doing that. I'm the kind of person that I need to change things up to stay interested in exercise otherwise I get bored pretty quick. Have to stay motivated!

I started working out in January. I do 1 hour to an hour 15 a day. I do 4 days on then take a day to rest. I do one day of strength training and two days of cardio then repeat. I have my own workout room at home but I do go to the gym now and again. I was losing like 10 pounds a month after my sleeve but when I started working out I've only lost 11 pounds since January. My VSG was 4/5/16. I have 20 pounds until goal. It's coming off slower now but I am super toned (trying to fill in the extra skin with bulk) and it's totally worth working out. I enjoy working out about an hour each time.

Check out lean in 15 on you tube! Loads of Hiit training ideas! Work big muscle groups to burn more kcal, like legs!! I have always done loads of exercise but I haven't been as active as usual this year since my surgery, not sure why but I think it is just a mental thing. Going on a windsurfing camp in the south of France in 3 weeks so trying to get in to better shape now though to handle the 8 hours a day of windsurfing. Looked it up and that equals 11000 kcal per day. Food at the camp is amazing and very healthy, I am worried that I will be able to eat enough though. This is my 15th week there but first time since my op. I am nervous to be in a bikini and nervous I will fail with the food and faint from lack of food ?
When I was normal I would loose 10-15 ibs in a week doing windsurfing, curious to see what happens this time. ?
But weight loss is just a bonus!! The windsurfing is amazing and gives me such a rush!! Super scared of sharks so I hang on for dear life ?
Loved this video and think you gave amazing advice!!! ❤❤ hope you killed the fly ??Elin

Do you have excess skin and if not how'd you get rid of it. Your nail look awesome. love the chrome nails and that fly better be grateful he's in your house and not mine cause he'd be dead.

I notice you dont have much saggy skin on your arms, and exercises you recommend for your arms. I know you said you lift heavy so what do you do? Also any tips for inner thighs? Right now I walk every night and do some squats

I dont like the gym but i loved cardio. I have been doing an hour of cardio on the elipitical 3 nights a week. I have started using my fitness pal to track my food intake. Its hard to not see the gym for weight loss purposes. I am going to try to start focusing on other areas.
