Healthcare systems round the world are underneath stress. Rising numbers of COIVD-19 sufferers are looking for therapy, pushing hospitals to the brink of collapse. But for those who look carefully, there are variations. In the US, healthcare is essentially privatized. In an effort to chop prices, many hospitals have lowered workers and stretched sources that are now urgently wanted. Many clinics are overwhelmed……(read more)

Germany has a universal system with two main types of health insurance (general/private). Germans are offered three mandatory health benefits, which are co-financed by employer and employee: health insurance, unemployment insurance, and long-term care insurance.

Yes, we have a good health insurance. Not perfect, but good. The rate of general health insurance is currently approx. 15.7% of gross income. Employees and employers pay half of the general contribution. This is a duty for jobs or if you are looking for a new job. Of course, you can take out further insurance, but on your own budget. If you are in general insurance (most people), it is also possible to book additional services from the doctor at your own costs, which are not included in the catalogue of services (e.g. breast ultrasound for women under 50 or 60). It calls 'IGEL-Leistung'. If you have more than approx. €60000 per year, than you have to go to the private health insurance. If you lost your job, you are insured by the state (same conditions like general insurance).

Additional to that, we pay statutory pensions insurance and taxes (duty like health insurance). So, we pay a lot from our gross salary.

You cannot sit there and hold hands with them and cry. You will lose your ability to do your job because your emotions will take over.
You are a machine who takes care of patients and you do it efficiently, respectfully and competently. Getting down on your knees and crying with them is none of the above.
Yes you want to be kind, smile and be somewhat compassionate but that does not mean getting on your knees, holding hands and crying with them.
The truth is patients and their families actually want you to be strong. They look to you as a source of strength. If you're down on your knees crying you just lost all that credibility.
You have to set limits. You have to get busy with somebody else.
If you find yourself dying will guess what, the show is over! Your life does not mean much at all. People will forget about you. No one will remember you as time passes. Lights are out, your life is coming to an end and that happens to everyone on the planet throughout history and forevermore. Get used to it.

Every video is selling whether against trump when it should be rather against Dr Fushit for not prescribing an inhaler that disinfects our lungs, knowing that doctors prescribe thousands of expensive inhalers and vectors of infections like nebulizers, masks, gloves, gowns, and the mega expensive of all social distancing or the expensive testing that stops no infection etc. Don't wait for a respiratory vaccine because it will never be sold by the manufacturers. Doctors will never ever prescribe smelling alcohol even though historically kills virus, yes all the 19 of them, because if doctors do that they will kill the billionaire infection industry with the inexpensive and abundant alcohol. And whether the private owners of the hospitals or the public ones is better one is worse because they have to make a profit and killing and infecting is highly more profitable. So shame on countries that have private hospitals and private manufacturing health facilities. What is worse is this, a private hospital or a public one helps infecting the next hospital…..The health related manufacturers have so much power that all elected and doctors cannot go against it.
I am not a doctor, do all that doctors and unlicensed say to you do just in case otherwise they may wish you die, plus I have smelled alcohol for about 20 years now just in case.
They all want your money, private or taxes same cash.
Save a life, save a thousand lives, do what you must but know that others want otherwise

This is a pandemic that Bill Gates warned years ago in the
TED talk that it could happen any time in any place in the world.
What will happen if it outbreaks in UK or US? It is very
likely that within the same length period of time, there are more than 5 million
positive cases already, instead of 1.5 million today.
    UK:Herd immunity
US:Treat it like a flu and wait it to disappear in a miracle.
Neither country will initiate a draconian measure as city lockdown which turns out to be an effective approach.
In Germany, things should be much better. With my understanding and many years' of stay in Bayern, German are much more prepared and self-discipline.

We actually have a good health care system in Japan, with fewer deaths from Coronavirus. I lately watched a TV program here that says the only health care system on earth we can learn from is Germany. Their home doctor system and online medical interviews seem very effective for this virus. Good job, Germany!

Testing in NY City is still limited to those being hospitalized. More

than likely this is the fact on the ground in every hot spot in our country.

Do we even have the numbers of the people who have been examined

by their doctors, not tested and told to quarantine at home? This leaves

City Officials and State Officials still working in the dark. The inaction by

the Trump Administration on ensuring nationwide testing and ample

stockpiles of medical supplies in our National Stockpile has caused

    thousands of needless deaths.

Germany , a country with a very good health system has now more cases than China and the death cases in Germany is currently 2,017 while in China 3,333. Is China really reporting their cases correctly? Something is fishy here.

And that's even more reason why we need a single-payer system in the United States I'ma live in Virginia I was born in Germany Southwest of Frankfort.in Virginia our governor is also an MD in fact he went to school 3 doors down from where I live so he is much better equipped to deal with this and other governors in Virginia acted quickly and that's why we do not have a huge spike in cases

A worthy topic of discussion. I believe western world has some of the best healthcare but limited in quantity. Qualified doctors, good equipment and facilities, they just don't have sufficient number of it.
