So you did nothing to lose the weight? It came off naturally?
Were you ever scared to touch food?

I want to thank you for sharing so much with us. I admire your strength and the fact you share so much with us. Thanks to you, I finally convinced myself to get a Fluidity to update my exercise program and keep it gentle for my leg and back. I finally feel worth it and that I deserve it. I even got it second-hand and at a great price. Your hair and skin look amazing plus your eyes look brighter every time you update.

okay, so i’m 1 month and a half into recovery (thanks solely to you literally) and I got past the extreme hunger phase, but now i’m struggling to eat enough??? I usually sleep 9-12 hours a night meaning I wake up 99% of the time from 11am – 3pm.. always varies. I can never wake up before that, my body naturally takes me to these later hours, in turn, i’m already halfway through the day and somehow have to fit in 2,000+ calories into my body and it’s always so difficult so I end up going for the more processed lightweight calorie dense (vegan) foods so I can’t fit it in and at that point, i’m definitely eating past the point of uncomfortably full, and I don’t even want more food, i’m just scared to under eat. my question is: should I force myself to wake up earlier or when I do find myself waking up late, eat until satiated, even if not surpassing 2,000?

How long do you think it takes for everything to sort itself out? I've been in recovery for 10 months and I still have some acne and bloating.

I have a question! When you were plateauing after April, how long after that did it take for you to start losing the weight?

Can you naturally lose the recovery weight even if you're not vegan? I'm 4 days into recovery, I'm reeeaally scared that I'm gonna gain a bunch of weight and never lose it because I'm not vegan and I can't be at the moment. I'm trying to eat everything I crave and until I'm satisfied, but it's so terrifying and the thoughts are still here. If anyone had an experience similar to mine I would so much know how it went for you!

Alice I cannot tell you how happy and relieved I am to have come across this video. I was having a really bad day, wondering why my body hasn’t changed after being in recovery for so long. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so so much.

I love this video! I've watched it so many times because I relate so much. I hated my body before my eating disorder, and now that I've gained the weight back, it's worse than ever. I'm disgusted and humiliated with my body. I've plateaued at a bmi of 27. But I'm focusing on my health, eating intuitively on a wfpb diet and exercising a healthy amount. One day I hope I'll reach a healthy weight and love my body again.

Hey Alice, when can I start eating less in recovery? And on "less" I mean less than the guidelines, and start listening to my hunger cues. How to decide if I can start eating a bit less than MM recommendations? I don't want to ruin my efforts by not eating enough after I've come this far but sometimes I don't crave this much food.My period hasn't come back yet and I'm recovering from anorexia, already overshoot… Could you please make a video about what happens after you gain weight, eat enough and get your period back? How to normalise normal hunger cues (and how to know how much food you need!) and build a healthy perspective on the recovered stage and healthy relationship with exercise? I haven't found an answer to these questions yet! thank you and keep being an intelligent, wise, amazing woman as you are! Love your videos!! Hope you have an awesome day ❤

im same as you, gained for 4 months and am 165lbs, and it stopped but hasn’t gone down.. it’s so hard for me to eat 2500 it’s way to much to the point where I have to find junk food that’s calorie dense but lightweight just to get my calories in. And vegan! I’m scared it will never go down 🙁

Can you still effectively recover without quitting exercise? I wasn’t terribly underweight when I started serious recovery because of how my ED was the past 3 years, but I’ve been in serious recovery for almost a year now and I never quit exercise because I couldn’t afford to do that (I’m a dancer and I want to make a career out of it) but I am at a healthy weight now and have been able to repair most of if not all of the physical damage from my ED without quitting dance. But everyone I’ve heard always says you need to quit all exercise to be able to truly recover, so I’m wondering if it is okay that I started recovery without quitting exercise

You are making such a difference for me right now. I find myself pulled to different people during different phases of my learning who are sharing a message that I need and I’m very grateful because I really needed permission to follow my body wherever it leads. Thank you <3

And to know I’ve gained weight and haven’t lost any weight for a reason. And to make sense of so many other things I’ve observed during this process.
