The Dúrcal City Council has organized for this weekend, the first “Dúrcal Fitness and Sports Fair”. As of yesterday, Friday, March 10, the so-called Antigua Escuela Taller de Dúrcal, hosted the event that featured exhibitors, talks, workshops and guided classes by the participating clubs and gyms. There will be a whole series of talks, training, on sports psychology, physiotherapy, with master-classes of all specialties and stand local sports companies.
On March 10, 11 and 12 at the Dúrcal Workshop School, the City Council in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Granada and Blue Method, have launched these activities that will begin today Friday with the official inauguration by the deputy of sports provincial, Manuel Guirado, the mayor of Dúrcal, Julio Prieto, the councilor for sports, Víctor Puentes and the Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Method, David Luis. It will be today, Friday, at 5:30 p.m., when the tenured professor of the Faculty of Sports Sciences in the Department of Physical Education and Spanish mountain biking coach, Mikel Zabala will offer the presentation “Sports and values”. Half an hour later, the person in charge of “Nutrition”, Antonio Rodríguez will speak as an expert and qualified, about the relationship between food and sports performance. At 6:30 p.m., Pedro Reche, physiotherapist and osteopath from EOM, will give the talk “Injuries in sport. At 7:00 p.m., Esther Yañez from “Nave Ishitar” will present the benefits of “Yoga for everyone”.

As indicated by the councilor for sports, Víctor Puentes at 7:30 p.m., in the discipline of inclusive sports led by Jesús Corral, representative of people with intellectual disabilities together with Lola Mochón, manager of Vale and Prisca Puerta, responsible for the physical activity and sports program. On Saturday, March 11, the exhibitions and guided classes will take place. For its part, “Nave Isthar” will offer a Vinyasa yoga class by Lourdes Bueno at eleven o’clock. Chi Kung by Daniela Girolamo at 12:30 p.m. “Ashtanga Yoga” by Esther Gálvez at 5:00 pm, followed by “Tantra Yoga” by Daniela Girolamo; all of them will be in the Day Center.
In the School Workshop Pavilion, Belinda Ríos from Sala Norte 47 will offer a Pilates Master Class at 12:00 p.m. and a boxing exhibition at 1:00 p.m., according to the sports councilor, Víctor Puentes.
According to Víctor Puentes, Councilor for Sports in Dúrcal, it will be Rocío Padial from the “Escuela de Flamenco & Danza” who will give the Masterclass “Learn about the benefits of dance for the health of boys and girls” at 1:15 p.m., together with a dance exhibition by the students of the school. Also, Mart Canen and Belên from “Physiotherapy and Readaptation” will lead the Workshop “Back, Healthy Mobility and Breathing” at 5:00 p.m. For his part, Diege Ortegral from “Gimnsasio Kwon” will give a Zumba Masterclass at 6:00 p.m. For her part, Belinda Ríos from Sala Norte 47 will lead a step Master Class at seven in the afternoon, and a zumba Master Class at 7:45 p.m. For his part, José Melguizo from “Meltrainer” offers the masterclass “Meet Crossfit” on Saturday, which will be at 8:30 p.m., points out the councilor for sports, Víctor Puentes.
On Sunday, March 12, the fair will begin at 11:00 a.m., the “Women’s March” will take place with a 6-kilometre route, registrations can be made during the fair by the organization. At around 2:30 p.m., there will be a popular meal and at four in the afternoon, the closing ceremony and recognition of individuals and entities for their work in promoting and linking with health and sports in the region will take place, according to the councilor of sports, Víctor Puentes.
