He became the nation’s favourite PE teacher during lockdown and Joe Wicks has continued to make a fortune since the pandemic.
The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden has revealed that the burpee-loving Body Coach guru, 37, who was awarded an MBE at Windsor Castle for his services to fitness, added £20million to the bottom line at his fitness empire last year.
Newly filed accounts for Joe Wicks Group report £2.2million in profits, plus £12million and £6million in new business assets held through Bconh and Joew Holdings respectively.
He set up Joe Wicks Group in 2018 and Bconh and Joew Holdings in 2021. All accounts were signed off by the fitness coach this week.
There are no pay disclosures for Joe, who owns all the shares for the three companies.
No detail is reported on the new £18million in assets held by him across Bconh and Joew Holdings. Accounts listed them as ‘other investments’.
Joe first launched his Body Coach brand back in 2015 after working as a personal trainer.
And during the coronavirus pandemic, Joe became a household name with his free daily workout sessions which were posted to his YouTube channel.
Fans can now follow a similar lifestyle to Joe’s by signing up for his £9.99 app to get food and workout plans.
Joe was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to fitness and charity.
He is married to model Rosie Jones, who he met in 2016, and the pair share three kids – Indie, four, Marley, two, and Leni, five months – and also have a house in Los Angeles.
But he and his wife have seemingly decided to keep the UK as their primary residence and bring up their children at their £4.4million Surrey mansion.
Last month, Joe spent some quality time with his family as they enjoyed a getaway to Singapore.
He shared a glimpse into the trip with his 4.5million Instagram followers on Wednesday, posting a slew of snaps.
Spending five days in the Asian country, the family used it as a stopover while on their way to Australia.
Joe and Rosie enjoyed a swim at the lavish Marina Bay Sands Infinity pool, as the shirtless star beamed for a picture holding his two eldest children.
Meanwhile, his wife donned a plunging chocolate swimsuit while holding their youngest daughter Leni.
Amongst a slew of family activities, the couple managed to squeeze in a date night too – enjoying cocktails at the luxurious Raffles Hotel.
The family-of-five beamed for a collection of pictures together as they took in the sights.
They then headed to Australia, with Joe explaining that Singapore was a great place to ‘acclimatise’ before heading Down Under from the UK.
Speaking on his stop-over in Singapore, Joe penned: ‘We’ve had the most incredible 5 days in Singapore. It’s a great place to stay over to acclimatise on the way to Australia and there are so many fun things to do with the family.’
The trip came as part of his PE With Joe Tour, which sees him host an array of public workouts.
The Body Coach previously took the tour around the UK last summer, carrying out workouts across England, Wales and Scotland.
