Hey, Missouri, we’re fats. But we’re not alone.

Not that there wasn’t some stout competitors from the nation.

Personal finance web site WalletHub, the listing compilers, notes that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates greater than 70% of U.S. adults (20 and older) are both overweight or overweight.

The rankings have been devised by three classes:

Our worst displaying was in share of “overweight and obese adults,” the place we have been No. 11 within the nation.

We didn’t do significantly better within the different two, ending at No. 17 within the class of “food and fitness” (consumption of fruit, sugar-sweetened soda and quick food was included), and No. 19 in “health consequences” (excessive ldl cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart illness, stroke and obesity-related cancers).

Blend all that collectively and we are available in at 10th place.

The 5 fattest states (Nos. 1-5) are West Virginia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee. The 5 leanest are (Nos. 46-50) Minnesota, Massachusetts, Colorado, Hawaii and Utah.
