Why'd you take down the work at home Weds. video? I only got partway through it but still wanted to watch the rest and now it says it's gone. 🙁

This is such a tricky issue. I have 3 redheads & 3 more pale kids, so I've looked into a lot of research around skin cancer (and my husband's uncle is a skin cancer doctor). It increases your risk of skin cancer if you get 5+ sunburns. But more people actually get skin cancer from lack of Vit D than from overexposure (you're statistically at an increased risk of getting cancer if you work in an office vs outdoor work!). There are also so many scary chemicals in most sunscreens. Even though zinc oxide, which is commonly thought to be safer, is giving people metal poisoning from absorbing too much sunscreen into our skin. Over the last 20 years, our rates of skin cancer continue to rise, even though our use of sunscreen has tripled. So what is the perfect amount of sun exposure? It's so hard to know what to do. I just try to use hats and shirts for the most part, but we definitely use sunscreen if we are doing anything near water. Everyone just needs to do their homework and try to make the best decision for their family. 🙂

Glad to hear the sunscreen application tips. SO MANY PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THIS. My parents didn't and I got sunburned ALL the time as a child until I starting being responsible for it myself and looked into it and now I never get burned.

We only go out in the sun between 10 am to 12 noon. We take a break and come back inside until 4 pm. It usually rains in the summer during our "siesta" mid day, so that helps too!

TThanks for the sharin! I just brought a badger stick for my toddler girl but then I read about some reviews in amazon it says some ppl got sun burn after using badger, so I got scared about that and wondering if that’s because of the way they apply it or what. Do you have any ideas?

How dose the stick compare to cream in terms of leaving white residue ? , Currently using the cream on my face but it leaves me looking very pale just wondering if the stick is any better.
