About ON AIR, family success story
Claude Bolle, a former paper mill engineer and recently retired, was a member of an independent fitness club. The club went bankrupt and Claude Bolle decided to take over the business by creating his first fitness club. At that time, affiliations at that time had a minimum duration of 2 years and were financed by credit companies, Claude Bolle decided to follow the example of Canal + and make customers pay their subscriptions month by month. In 1995, the direct debit subscription formula, now adopted by 95% of the clubs in France, had just been born.
In 2005, his son Jacques Bolle, former elite athlete, training lawyer (sports law) and former president of a sports federation, joined him to take over and create new clubs. he surrounds himself with a team of executives and opts for the low-cost model for the development of his group.
In 2017, based on his experience, Jacques Bolle and his team decided to leave the moving and Fitness Park networks to create the on-air brand, transforming its six clubs into a Parisian region.
In 2019 the ON AIR franchise was launched, which was an immediate success. In 3 years, despite the difficult sanitary conditions, many clubs under the ON AIR brand opened in the Paris region, in the provinces and abroad.
In June 2023, ON AIR celebrates its thirty-second club with the opening of ON AIR Nice. Many club projects will materialize in the coming months.
Frédéric Vallet, CEO of the group:
“This success is above all a family story that began more than 25 years ago”
