President Trump stated he may ship his speech on the UN General Assembly in person, whereas different world leaders have opted to send in video recordings.

“I’m thinking about going directly to the UN to do the speech,” Trump stated on the White House press briefing Thursday.

“I think it’s appropriate, if we can do it, I’ll do it directly. Again, this will not be like it is in the past because some countries will not be able to escape the problems they’re having,” he added.

Trump stated he thinks showing in person would higher symbolize the US and that he feels he has an “obligation” to be there.

Last month, Reem Abaza, the spokesperson for the president of the General Assembly, stated every state in the meeting had been invited to submit a pre-recorded video, which will probably be streamed into the UN.

Trump stated Thursday that his speech could be an necessary one and added he anticipated the UN corridor to have a spacing requirement due to the coronavirus pandemic if he does give it in person.
