Viding Fitness closes its gym in Inca and focuses on its other three in Mallorca
Viding Fitness restructures its presence in Mallorca. The Madrid gym chain will close its gym in Inca (Mallorca) after fifteen years in operation to focus efforts on providing better facilities and equipment in the centers of Marratxí, Calviá and Aiguablava, according to CMD Sports.
The objective is to turn the three centers into benchmarks in terms of sports facilities in the Palma de Mallorca area.. The company will distribute its employees from the Inca center to the other three gyms.
The company also prepares the addition of a new brand to its portfolio: The Hub. Viding Fitness has begun the reforms of its Viding Illes Aragón center to turn it into a gym premiumfunctional and with advanced training technology, which he will baptize as The Hub.
Currently, Viding Fitness manages nine gyms in Spain
As of April, the chain will manage four sports facilities: Xpress, Marratxí, Calviá and Aiguablava, to which The Hub must be added. The chain manages a center in Lleida, one in Madrid, two in Seville and one in Tarragona, which brings to nine the gyms under the control of Viding Fitness.
Among his plans, he highlights the opening of a Viding Fitness center in Valladolid in 2025. The new center will have more than 6,000 square meters, of which 1,100 meters will be used for the fitness. In addition, it will have an outdoor area with 14,000 square meters. The project investment has not been disclosed.
Viding, owned by a group of individual investors who were part of the Taper health group, opened its first center in Seville in October 2013. and in December 2016 Viding Alcántara opened its doors in Madrid. In 2017 he opened Viding Sant Jordi in Tarragona, while a year later he did the same with Viding Piscinas Sevilla. In February of last year, it acquired Ekke in Lleida.
Based in Madrid, the chain had 39,500 members in 2019 and a turnover of 21.3 million euros. It currently has the management of nine sports centers in the territory, after lowering the doors of one of its gyms in Mallorca.
