but it won’t come cheapWorld’s first flying BIKE could be yours…
The 12-foot-long XTURISMO hoverbike can stay in the air for 40 minutes and reach speeds of up to 62mph.
Developed by the Japanese startup AERWINS Technologies, it was inspired by the hovercrafts in Star Wars.
The bike operates with two large central rotors powered by a 228-hp gas-powered Kawasaki motor.
Currently it is limited to flying over race tracks only, but its creators believe it could usher in a world 'where humans have free reign over the skies'.
The company says the bike could also be used for practical applications like disaster relief and search and rescue missions.
Already available in Japan, the flying machine will be on sale in the US later this year - for £461,000.
Its makers hope to lower the cost to £42,169 for a smaller electric model by 2025.
