Background: I’m 7 months postpartum. While pregnant I reached 156 lbs. Back right down to my common dimension, shawty. 🙂

“The Everything Oatmeal”
Mix half cup of sizzling water to 1 cup of oats
Add 1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp granola
1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
Handful of blueberries and raspberries
*You also can use some coconut oil for extra taste!

“The Summer Chicken Salad”
Grill 3 ozof rooster seasoned with salt and pepper to style then slice into 1/4 bite-sized items
Toss/mix the next components
6 sliced strawberries with about 3 cups of lettuce
Add 2 tbsp lite balsamic French dressing
1/4 cup uncooked (or toasted) crushed almonds
Toss and plate then high with rooster and one serving of croutons (6)

“Leftover Salmon Salad”
Coat lettuce with roasted garlic salad dressing
Add 1/4 cup of sliced cherry tomatoes
Add 1 tbsp of grated Parmesan cheese
Crumble 3 ozof chilled, skinless salmon (beforehand grilled with salt and pepper)
Season with sea salt and peppercorn
Plate and revel in!
*You also can heat the leftover salmon and serve on high of the salad!

“Banana Toast”
Toast one slice of entire wheat bread
Spread on 2 tbsp of vanilla flavored almond butter
Top with half a sliced banana (1/4 inch sizes)

“The Not Chipotle Burrito Bowl”
This recipe is for one serving, double quantities for two
You’ll want…
Rice (of your alternative, I used jasmine)
Mexican cheese
Pico de gallo
1 avocado
1 can natural pinto beans
1/2 lb skirt steak
Greek yogurt
Cilantro (1 bundle)
1 white onion

Start by steaming 1-2 cups of rice and chopping your onion and 1/4 cup cilantro into small bits
Let rice cool to room temp
Once cooled add chopped cilantro and juice from one lime half, stir properly (should you do not let the rice cool, your cilantro will wilt)
Set apart and start warming pinto beans in saucepan (stir usually)
Grill skirt steak (season with juice from different half of lime, salt and pepper) then slice in 1/4 inch bites
Place rice in bowl, high with pinto beans, cheese, sliced skirt steak, uncooked onion, pico de gallo, avocado, greek yogurt and chili powder to style. You can order your layers nonetheless you want! Enjoy!

    Great ideas. How did you make your cilantro lime rice? I know you said you used Jasmine rice. Did you just add cilantro & lime, and if so, how much lime juice did you use?

    Loved this healthy meals video! I've cooked skirt steak before and it was extremely tough to eat. How did you keep the skirt steak from being tough?

    Ooh, where do you get that big bag of finely shredded coconut flakes? I usually get some from the bulk section at Whole Foods, but they are largely grated.

    so its been 3 M and 2 weeks now that I have been eating healthy and nursing but the weight is too stubborn to get down. my pre pregnancy weight was 128 and the highest at the day of delivering the baby was 162.8, I lost a total of 15 lbs the very first week. my scale is stuck at 147.4 lbs which seems a bit weird as the weight must have been reduced much more than this, this is my fourth pregnancy and with first three most of the weight had gone by the end of 6th week but this time it is getting too sticky to get rid of.

    Put your lettuce in a bowl with a lid and put a dry paper towel in there. The paper towel keeps the salad fresh so it doesn’t start going bad immediately after you open it
