    I thought coronavirus is flu.

Influenza, also called flu or grippe, an acute viral infection of the upper or lower respiratory tract that is marked by fever, chills, and a generalized feeling of weakness and pain in the muscles, together with varying degrees of soreness in the head and abdomen.

The flu. 25 to 50 million. Infected amid social distancing measures to slow covid thats infected 4 million in the same amount of time. Flu seems to be more contagious and if it infects way more it could kill more than COVID-19.
And with vaccine effectiveness at 50% or lower that's not good…. vaccine effectiveness has been dropping since humanity started using them.

Corona virus is actually only about 2 – 4 times more "deadly" then the flue but it is more infectious … For healthy people most that get infected by coronavirus do not get sick at all or only have mild symptoms. It is the sick and old that die WITH or from it mostly and the media like to use the numbers from that group to make an impression that it is much more deadly that it really is. The whole corona crisis is really a large media hype and almost all the governments in the world is over reacting doing lot harder measures to stop it then the virus experts wants them to do. Basically it is the medias fault for the economic crisis that has been created as everyone is panicking and over reacting, the economic crisis will kill FAR more people over the next decades while the economy recovers slowly all over the world. For healthy people most that get infected by coronavirus do not get sick at all or only have mild symptoms. Fear sells and that is why media likes to run scare mongering campaigns not caring at all the damage they are doing worldwide right now, media is the real killers in this case in the long run…

Businesses reducing the hours they are open, and closing altogether, are causing all the people who need food and the other goods they need to travel to the few stores that are open, for the fewer hours they stay open. This is causing massive crowding when buying the things we need. Crowding is precisely what is supposed to be avoided during a pandemic. And, all of this over a virus that kills arguably less people each month than the flu from my research. And, the flu virus actually has vaccines for it that are given generously each year, and yet it still kills at the rates it does. And what's more, the people who are most likely to die from the coronavirus are elderly people with preexisting conditions and very young toddlers and infants…the same people most likely to die from the flu…Why not close stores and reduce business hours for the flu each year? Why are people not told to social distance, wear masks, wash their hands, etc by the government for the flu each year? Why is the flu not treated as the similarly dangerous pandemic that it is each year? You'd think the coronavirus was as deadly as HIV with the measures some places have taken. I think this is being blown a little out of proportion, but what do I know? I'm no professional…just a Youtuber with my two cents.

    COVID-19 obviously.

I view COVID-19 as being more like SARS or MERS than the common cold or the flu. SARS-CoV-2 (the scientific name for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19) is one of the three dangerous coronaviruses known to infect humans. The best way to survive COVID-19 is not to contract it in the first place.

Flu, by contrast, is usually an upper respiratory infection. Some flu viruses, such as H5N1, can cause a lower respiratory infection, but these viruses spread much less easily. As a result, flu is usually mild. Symptoms are more severe than the common cold and it is advisable to stay at home (although in my native Britain, many people will still drag themselves into work even if they have symptoms of the flu, and will not even think about taking a sick day unless hospitalised!), but it is very rare for the flu to cause death.

Brah the virus isn’t that bad y’all freaking chill the numbers are blown up and false they have literally had people who were murdered but had the virus so they said it was a virus death so even though they were murdered it counts as a virus death y’all realize that there have been 0 heart related deaths since this virus came out so did the virus cure cancer and heart Failure or have they just counted those as virus deaths y’all wake up don’t listen to the media and do your own research

The number of cases are right, but the number of deaths are incorrect. The numbers are 4 million cases in the US, and 28,000 deaths.

The numbers shown would calculate to 1 in 10 die from the flu (10%). The numbers I have seen show a death rate from flu is about 0.7% ( 1 in 142). If the numbers presented were true we would be reacting to the flu like we are reacting to Covid-19. People, please verify information.

The spread rate of COVID-19 is waaaaay overplayed by the media. Covid-19 SR is 2.2 and seasonal flu 1.3. 2.2 is LAUGHABLE compared to REAL pandemics of the past over 10 and above.

We know have a growing list of senior, senior citizens that have survived this. Though the media will never tell you that ___85%__ of the 80+ age group SURVIVES IT.

How "deadly' is Covid -19 when it can't even kill the over 100+ age group?

104 year old man war vet survives

    103 year old woman survives

102 year old Italian woman survives

    101 year old man….

    100 year old man…

    91 year old man..

    90 year old woman…

    96 year old Denver woman..

Even with a HIGHER SPREAD RATE the COVID-19 death count in the US ______still______ has not surpassed the seasonal flu total of 24k which peaked on March 7th.

So…with even a MONTH ADVANTAGE in time COVID-19 still hasn't surpassed the MILD seasonal flu death count of 24k in the US 2020 season. Seasonal flu death count in 2017/2018 was 64K and we didn't shut the economy down for that!!!!!
