Amazon finally announced the official dates for October Prime Day 2024 (aka Amazon Prime Big Deal Days), and here’s the skinny: This year’s fall Prime Day spectacular will begin on Tuesday, October 8 and run through Wednesday, October 9. If you want to get super granular, we have those details too: the event officially begins at 3 A.M. EST, and will run a full 48 hours.
Amazon Prime Day, a tradition that the retailer launched in July 2015, is a massive site-wide savings event exclusive only to Amazon Prime subscribers that runs for two days annually in July. The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days addition came in 2022, when Amazon introduced the Prime Early Access Sale that October as a discount-heavy kickoff to holiday shopping. Last year, they officially changed the name to Prime Big Deal Days to complement the popular July Prime Day event.
