Fernando Torres’ boutique gym, SpAce by 9F, is equipped with Fit4Life

The premium boutique training gym SpAce by 9F by Fernando Torres, inaugurated last September in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), debuts new technology provided by Fit4Life to monitor and boost the activity of the center’s SpAce BOX. For this, the Impact Wrap and Aplifit systems have been installed, which offer a motivating and attractive training experience for the user in order to help them better meet their goals.

The Impact Wrap system monitors the force of the blows exerted on the punching bags, assigns a score and displays it in real time on a screen located in the room. After the session, the client can also see their results by e-mail and through the Impact Wrap app, as well as their training history. This allows the gym to create more controlled and intelligent workouts with the punching bags.

The Aplifit platform, on the other hand, allows the center to measure the heart rate of its clients, display it on the screen during the session, and afterwards, users can also check the results of each training session and their evolution through the system’s app. In this virtual community environment, club clients can share their workouts, interact with other club members, see their position in different rankings, as well as follow SpAce by 9F challenges and publications. Therefore, with this technology, Aplifit gives SpAce the option to further gamify and socialize the training experience.

boutique studios concept

SpAce by 9F is a concept of boutique training studios promoted by Nine Fitness, the chain of gyms created between former soccer player Fernando Torres and brothers and businessmen Óscar and Javier Meléndez. His first studio, which has now been outfitted with Impact Wrap and Aplifit, is a 400m facility2 located in the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), and soon Nine Fitness plans to open another boutique under the same banner in the residential area of Valdebebas, also in the capital.

SpAce centers have their own training methodology, the SpAce Method, through which their service focuses on 3 very specialized types of training: Skill X (performance-oriented group training), SpAce BOX (based on the essence of boxing and innovative training methods) and SpAce Soul (focused on finding the balance between body and mind, combining Pilates, Yoga and meditation). In addition, these studios also offer the Open SpAce option, free training with state-of-the-art machinery and materials, as well as the possibility of having a personal trainer.
