Euncet Business School, a university center attached to the UPC, joins the Gestiona collaborators program as one of the first partners of the new Gestiona Future project.
Euncet Business School is a university center with a strong commitment to social return and with a historical relationship with the world of sport. Two of the three current partners are linked to the world of sport and physical activity, Eurofitness and the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia. For this reason, in 2018 it launched the degree in Sciences and Technologies Applied to Sport and Fitness (CTEF).
Gestiona, the Catalan Association of Management Entities for public sports facilities, has as its main objectives the representation, defense and promotion of the interests of its members, collaborating in improvement programs and continuous training of its professionals and ensuring the quality of service. public sports and the management of sports facilities.
Collaboration agreement
The objective of both parties with this collaboration agreement is to bring the reality of the sports industry closer to Euncet students, as well as university talent in companies, organizations and sports entities that are part of the Gestiona network.
Both entities also plan to start studies and research related to the field of physical activity and sport, to help the managers of the entities make decisions. The first of these will begin soon and its objectives are to analyze the behavior of young people in sports centers. The arrival of adolescents at fitness centers has been one of the post-pandemic novelties.
For Josep Maria Lluch Pous, general director of Euncet Business School: “Having the possibility of making work scholarships for our students, offering them guided tours of Gestiona’s partner facilities, as well as having master classes given by experts in the sector can be actions very enriching for both parties”.
