Macro Fit invests 1.7 million in Tenerife and diversifies its business with a view to the Peninsula

Macro Fit accelerates its growth by diversifying its business with new formats and locations. The Lude Gestiones y Servicios group of gyms will launch its ninth club in the Canary Islands on August 16, the second in Tenerife and the first in the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. As 2Playbook has already advanced, the company will invest 1.7 million euros in what will be one of its largest establishments. The chain expects that the promotion of this gym will allow it to close 2023 with a record turnover of more than 8 million eurosabove the 7.9 million that entered in 2019, and serving more than 20,000 customers.

The ninth gymnasium will have more than 3,500 square meters distributed over three floors. The premises, which will already have the new brand image that the chain has presented taking advantage of its tenth anniversary, will have four activity rooms for indoor cycling, indoor walking and other multipurpose activities; and a muscle-building space of more than 2,000 square meters that will have, in addition to free weight equipment, a functional training area where guided classes will be held.

This will be the only opening of 2023, but Macro Fit will not stop its expansion here. Work will begin in September on what will be its tenth location, also in the Canary Islandsand which will be released at the beginning of 2024. Together with these two new establishments, the chain expects to reach 25,000 members by the end of 2024.

In these two centers you will have a specific Macro Functional Box weight, a proprietary training method registered by Macro Fit. The chain will promote this activity, based on functional activity and personal training, through the launch of its own independent clubs of between 400 and 650 square meters. The company has not revealed how much it plans to invest in this gym model, but it does plan to be able to reach up to ten establishments between 2025 and 2027.

This will not be the only new line that will launch in the coming months, since the address is also finalizing its entry into the premium segment with a different model, Premium by Macro Fit, which he will try to expand in the future. At the moment, yes, it does not give details about how many centers of this model it plans to build or the investment necessary to start them up.

The expansion of the chain will not only be articulated through different gym formats, but also aspires to its growth being territorial. Although the Canary Islands will continue to be the focus of its expansion, the company has resumed plans to land on the Iberian Peninsula, an intention that he already contemplated in 2019, but that he had to postpone due to the pandemic. Macro Fit is analyzing this option and has even already carried out studies of premises and areas outside the archipelago.
