Guadalupe, Zac.- Within the framework of the activities of the Cultural and Artistic Festival of July in its 2023 edition, the Fitness Fest took place -with great success-, in which athletes from various gyms and fitness centers participated who have and maintain an interest in promoting sports practice as a way to improve the quality of life of families.
After more than two hours of individual and group competitions, with different tests of resistance and physical preparation, the best emerged victors in a magnificent setting such as the front of the Convent of Guadalupe, in the emblematic Jardín Juárez.
The municipal president, José Saldívar Alcalde, presided over the award ceremony to recognize the effort and dedication of the winners, and in his message he emphasized the importance of keeping a healthy mind and a healthy body, in addition to the fact that physical activation is necessary for families.
In this competition, Saldívar Alcalde gave prizes of almost 70,000 pesos.
“We must understand the importance of health in families, in our minds and in our bodies, congratulations to the participants who set an example for us,” said the Guadeloupean mayor.
Subsequently, the award ceremony took place, which, as economic recognition for his effort, was given by José Saldívar Alcalde to the winners of the Fitness Fest 2023.
In the Women’s Category, Ximena Velázquez from Crossfit Wolves was the winner, while
Claudia Cruz from Crossfit 360 won second place and Diana Dimas from Wixas Crossfit won third place.
Meanwhile, in the Men’s Category it was Ricardo Alvarado from Crossfit 360 who obtained the first position and Abraham Esquivel from The Empire and Luis Salas from Monkys Fitness Club, the second and third place, respectively.
Likewise, the team test was taken by Explosive Fitness, while Crossfit 360 and Monkys Fitness obtained second and third place, respectively.
In this way, the Guadalupe City Council, chaired by José Saldívar Alcalde, ratifies its commitment to physical activation and sports practice as a way to recover social peace and well-being of families.
