Thanks so much Gabo for ALWAYS creating golden content. You're humble, strong, amazing athlete with exceptional skills. Thanks Cathy, finally the mystery behind Downward dog position is explained. Thanks for the clarification, tips and cues. It's about 2 years that I practice handstand, I realized the concept of PUSH the floor away and go into shoulder elevation. For handstand was clear, but then here I was so confused. > Elevation (push the floor), external rotation and the new thing I learnt was going into protraction slightly and NOT retraction. Thanks again

Hey Gabo (and hey Cathy if you see this), amazing video and a very instructive one!

I’d just add two things: first, keep the bloopers in and the smiles throughout the whole video it is so much better 😁

Secondly, something a bit more serious, when Cathy talks about the knee, and how it is a hinge joint that only move in one direction (flexion/extension), it can also rotate the lower leg ONLY when it is flexed. Bend your leg and see that when you rotate your femur, your lower leg will go in the opposite direction ( outside if internal rotation of the hip and vice versa). Now straighten the leg from one of those position (internal rotation of the hip with your leg bent) and notice how the lower HAS to go into alignment. It clearly show that even if the joint isn’t theoretically designed for that, you can still have that rotation thanks to the space you have in your knee when it is flexed.

Hope and that was clear enough, keep it up brother !

    Thanks! Gabo. Very informative!!
I would love to see a similar video on breathing while in a pose. The information out there in the web is very confusing. Especially while you are in poses where your belly is compressed or stretched should we do belly breathing or Diaphragmatic ribcage breathing. Please shed some light on this topic. Thanks! & Loads of Love

The curvature in your low back gabo.. is that structural? Because it seems as though your lumbar is in flexion rather than neutrally aligned? I want to assume your anterior pelvic tilt is good so I don’t think it’s that… I’m open to answers / discussions in the replies 🙂

I can't do downward facing dog correctly. Always rounded my lower back and my heel can't press down on the floor.
