✮ 3 YOGA POSES FOR DIZZINESS / POTS / DYSAUTONOMIA ✮

For the previous couple months, I’ve been actually battling feeling lightheaded anytime I’m upright. So right now I assumed I might share a couple of of the yoga poses that I like to make use of to assist my body relaxation and reestablish equilibrium. You will want a block for these poses.

Yoga blocks –

Balasana – Child’s Pose
Forward folds like this one are extremely soothing for the nervous system. This grounding pose additionally helps with complications and migraines, which might exacerbate or trigger dizziness. Using a block beneath the brow on this pose brings the pinnacle stage with the guts to forestall any blood pooling, and this additionally offers the brow a little bit of a therapeutic massage.

Malasana – Garland Pose
The coronary heart does not must work so exhausting towards gravity on this pose as a result of we’re shortening the space between the pinnacle and the toes. This can assist with feeling dizzy or lightheaded as a result of ample blood circulate is ready to attain the pinnacle. You can modify this pose with a block if wanted.

Viparita Karani – Legs Up the Wall
This pose is my go-to as a result of it addresses so many points directly, together with: complications, blood pooling, blood stress regulation, cramps, stress, insomnia, fatigue and extra. It offers the circulatory system a break by inverting the body. If you are residing with POTS, Orthostatic Intolerance or another dysautonomia, that is the primary pose I’d advocate.

I have a question for you. I have Orthostatic hypotension and I was wondering if you had any tips for coming out of the yogic squat without having a head rush. It seems that no matter how hard I try to come out of any squat like the yogic squat I have bad dizziness and my vision goes dark for a few seconds.
