Yoga Tips: Yoga practices for boosting immunity during monsoons

Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing)

Sit in a comfortable position such as Sukhasana (Easy Pose), Ardha Padmasana (Half Lotus Pose), Vajrasana (Diamond Pose), or Poorna Padmasana (Full Lotus Pose).
Maintain a straight back, relaxed shoulders, and close your eyes to focus on your breath.
Place your palms on your knees facing upward in Prapthi Mudra.

Technique

Gently close your right nostril with your thumb, inhale through your left nostril, and close it. Exhale through your right nostril. Then, inhale through your right nostril, close it, and exhale only through your left nostril. This completes one cycle.

Remember to use protective gear when going outside to avoid getting caught in heavy downpours. Temperature fluctuations, pollution, and water contamination are common causes of infections and monsoon-related diseases. Avoid eating out and opt for light, fresh home-cooked meals that are easy on the stomach. By practicing these yoga techniques and adopting a healthy lifestyle, you can strengthen your immune system, stay fit, and enjoy the monsoon season to the fullest.
