My suggestion is to start with as many surya namaskars as your body is comfortable with and then slowly build that number up to 108 with practice. This is not a competition – yoga is never a competition. Yoga is about aligning your mind, body and soul. And doing it with love. Lots of love!
Surya namaskar vinyasa flow is amazing and does many wonders for you. It is a great cardio workout, and can be practiced for weight loss. It is great for stretching the body and improving flexibility. Also, amazing for building healthy muscle. I have personally been doing 108 surya namaskars everyday for a while now, and have experiences these benefits.
