Fantastic video! So many videos geared towards flexibility only showcase people who are already incredibly flexible, and it makes it very discouraging for those of us who are at a more realistic level. Just subscribed! 🙂

Hi, why would you rest your head on a block instead of letting your head and upper body 'just be'?

The most truthful yoga person. Others will justbe saying it as if yoga is like eating cake. Tx

I think alot of your clients would benefit from Feldenkrais lessons as a compliment to the yoga practice. Somatic work is a much needed compliment to yoga practice.

Found this looking to relieve lower back issues. Thanks for showing how to adjust to make it not so intense for us "never tried yoga" guys. Gonna check out your other videos!

Love love This! Finally an actual beginners video that I can follow. To master this pose, do we do it like this everyday and gradually remove the cushion or block until it gets comfortable?

Most of my pain is actually on the inside part of my ankle, in any pose that requires the toes stretched out like that and pressure being applied there.

This was very informative. I knew I wasn’t doing child’s pose correctly because it didn’t feel good, but I wasn’t sure how to correct my form. You’ve made it all click. Thank you.

My boyfriend can't do this pose as the front of his ankles are stiff wont flatten to the floor, and his feet can't seem to plantarflex so he finds it painful. Do you have any advice at all?

I always thought I was supposed to reach/work in this pose. Shows you how much I know, lol. That Type A mindset.

I love how real this is! Yes, put average people on these videos to show not all these poses are as simple as they are usually shown to be. Will subscribe because l don't know what to do and want to start yoga in order to help relax.

Thank you so much for this video. I was trying teaching some yoga to my boyfriend and when I realized he couldn't get into a child pose I didn't know how to help him. Now I do!

nice video. Most child pose videos neglect the coming out of the pose phase (very important).

Hi! What an excellent breakdown. Question: I never know what to do with my lower back/pelvis. I hips don't go all the way back, so do I engage the lower back to prevent from collapsing? OR do you engage and keep the spin straight?

How can I perfect this pose? I mean if I practice this every day, will I be able to get all the way down like a pro?

oh my goodness, I've checked out lots of "how to" yoga videos, and you are so down-to-earth and easy-to-follow: I subscribed! Thank you, look forward to seeing many more. When I started doing this pose a couple months ago, well, not sure I was doing it right, but it hurt my knees at first, but I loved how it made my back feel! Now I do this two or three times a day, in-between other exercises, to catch my breath.

I find this video really helpfull. Is there anything wrong with hovering above the heels as long as it‘s still relaxed. Does the behind definitely have to sit on something?
